Healthy Homes Renovation Tax Credit
The Ontario government recognizes the value of giving seniors the ability to age in their homes or living with family members. As such, they created the Healthy Homes Renovation Tax Credit to help you adapt your home to family members 65 years of age and older. This may include grab bars, non-slip flooring, and a walk-in bathtub for the bathroom. It may include lowering light switches, countertops, and other day-to-day fixtures for those living in wheelchairs. You may be able to convert outdoor stairways to ramps or add a chair lift to your indoor staircase. Find out how the Healthy Homes Renovation Tax Credit can support you and your family.
